Windows Installation Stuck on Getting Files Ready Problem.
When does it occur during installation?
Installation of windows is a very common thing nowadays as anyone having some knowledge about Windows OS can install it very easily but the problem may arise for them during the installation. The installation will go good until it shows the "Getting files ready for installation" screen. This has happened to every user and they have said that their screens got stuck during this phase of windows installation. It is very frustrating and time-consuming as it is a very complicated process.
This error occurs because of the downloading path of the Windows in your PC's storage. Other reasons which may cause this problem can be third-party application software that runs the windows kernel, power cuts between installations, or corrupted files that are getting ready for installation. From the disk's point of view, it can be due to damaged sectors, integrity corruption, or virus/malware attack.
Note:- Make sure that you do not have any important files in your system. If you have some then backup them before following the steps below.
There are a few instant solutions that you may have a look at before going to actual solutions:-
1. Resetting windows.
2. Doing system file maintenance repairs.
3. Clearing windows store cache.
4. Repairing component store.
5. Reinstalling windows apps.
The following is the effective solution for fixing the problem:-
Step 1 : Press Shift+F10 to go to command mode.
Step 2 : Press taskmgr and press enter.
Step 3 : In the task manager select the View tab and select Update Speed to High
Step 4 : Go to the process section and select process setup.exe.
Step 5 : Right-click the process by mouse and if the mouse isn't working then navigate there through keys and press the menu button once you get to the process.
Step 6 : Set its priority to high.
Step 7 : Close the task manager and exit.
